data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Tihana Grzetic Beljan<\/strong>, born in Rijeka in 1980, graduated from the First Croatian High School of Su\u0161ak, then enrolled Faculty of Law and graduated in 2004 and became permanent court interpreter for English language.<\/p><p>During her studies she participated in numerous students\u2019 international law competitions in English language, so-called &#8216;Moot Court Competitions&#8217;. She participated in \u2018Central and Eastern Law Moot Court Competition for Human Rights\u2019 in Budapest, 2002, and <strong>won the Central and Eastern European Best Oralist Award. <\/strong><\/p><p>In the same year she participated in the Balkan Case Challenge competition in Sarajevo, BiH, and the topic of the competition was international law of the sea. In 2003 she participated with a five-member team of students of the Faculty of Law in Rijeka at the &#8216;Philip C. Jessup Moot Court Competition&#8217; in Washington D.C., USA, in a simulated court hearing before The International Court of Justice in The Hague, and the case concerned the rights of women and children during the civil war. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column intertwined with law, her job as the attorney at law, with conducting of proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, the day-to-day legal and notarial affairs with foreigners, the translation of various contracts and documents, and the writing of projects for withdrawing money from European funds, as well as with the affairs of the court Brussels and Strasbourg<\/strong>, Policy Department for Citizens\u2019 Rights and Constitutional Affairs and at the law office in Rijeka, where she has stayed for the full nine years. After passing the bar exam and becoming a lawyer, she became a <strong>Senior Associate for EU Funds and Integrations<\/strong> and in 2018 completed a postgraduate specialist study of translation at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka and earned the title of translator, <strong>English language specialist.<\/strong><\/p><p>The English language and translation have all the time been intertwined with law, her job as the attorney at law, with conducting of proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, the day-to-day legal and notarial affairs with foreigners, the translation of various contracts and documents, and the writing of projects for withdrawing money from European funds, as well as with the affairs of the court interpreter.<\/p><p>She is sharing her experience and knowledge with the purpose of providing mutual assistance in the practice of court interpreter and translation with her colleagues at the Croatian Association of Court Interpreters and Translators \u2013 Branch in Rijeka (STIP), and the international ProZ
